Presence of Absence

Samantha's current series called The Presence of Absence aims to nurture a creative connection between the deceased and the living. The concept is that by painting a composition of items of the deceased, the work might evoke their presence on Earth even as they have departed from it. This series also speaks to psychological presences and absences -- emotional states and times of life which, while gone by, may reveal lasting reverberations.
